Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting the loan activities of complex portfolio level loan facilities through the loan lifecycle.
Team Overview:
Barings Portfolio Finance provides customized, complex, highly negotiated, proprietary secured loans to private asset managers and manages the entire loan lifecycle. As a member of Portfolio Finance's loan asset management team you will support the investment team, borrowers, and external stakeholders - from origination to offboarding.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver on key loan activities from closing and on boarding of new loan facilities - review of credit agreements, loan & servicing agreements, amendments, account control agreements, and closing/settlement statements in relation to Loan Asset Management functions and best practicesOn-going servicing and other administration functions on serviced loans including compliance and covenant monitoringUtilize and maintain financial models to record collateral data, test compliance metrics, and calculate waterfallsProvide cash, treasury & investment operations activitiesLiaise with investors and borrowersEnsure deliverables are managed to a high standard and within timelinesDrive process improvements and own projects end to endQualifications
Degree in Business, Finance, related field or equivalent4+ years of relevant investment operations/support experience preferably with investing or servicing private equity, private real estate, or private credit and lending documentsAbility to develop credibility and build relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and partnersExcellent attention to detailDemonstrate exceptional project/time management, coordination, and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsModerate to Advanced use of Excel and proficient use of Microsoft Office SuiteBarings is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer; Minority/Female/Age/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Individual with Disability/Protected Veteran.
