SUMMARY:
The Commercial Assistant Account Manager is responsible for assisting other members of the department with meeting the service needs of customers and performing essential functions that include processing changes, rating, making calls, and assuring correct information is input into the automation systems to achieve the quality and service standards developed by the agency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provide prompt, courteous, knowledgeable service to customers and prospectsProcess endorsements, certificates, and invoice all transactions as per instructions from theAccount Manager. Process change confirmationsAssist the department in processing new and renewal business, as requested, through application assembly, setting up files, assembling proposals, etc., in accordance with Agency standardsInvoice-assigned commercial premium transactions following agency procedures and guidelines.The process confirmed cancellationsMaintain working knowledge of all company change proceduresSupport the department with computer and word processing skills, including rating programs in our automation systemMaintain client files on computer systemsPerform all actions relating to customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissionsParticipate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to obtain a thorough understanding of commercial underwriting and coverage and interpret abstract dataIntermediate PC skills, with the ability to effectively utilize the agency's management systemsAbility to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environmentSelf-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directedRegular and punctual attendance is requiredAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writingExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues, and managers, across all levelsAbility to promote, and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers, companies, and the AgencyAbility to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentiality
QUALIFICATIONS:Property and Casualty license or willingness and ability to quickly obtain preferredPrevious insurance experience preferredCISR designation preferredAssociate degree preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS AND REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:Fast-paced, multi-tasking, office environment with periodic high disruption and changing prioritiesAbility to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequentlyAbility to lift up to 20 pounds occasionallyRequires operation of a computer workstation, including keyboard and video displayAll requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate physical or mental impairment
