Position Title: Summer School County Nurse-Itinerant
Job Description: Create or share guidance with staff, students, and families regarding illness. Review current healthcare plans and IEP's and update as needed. Attend county planning meetings as needed. General assistance with health based decisions. Delegate medical needs to trained personnel as required.
Qualifications: Must be eligible for Professional Student Support Certification for School Nurse. Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education. Valid Registered Nurse License issued by the West Virginia Board of Examiners. Successful competition of an accredited School Nurse Program. Minimum of five years' experience as RN, with minimum of three years in direct patient care. Applicant must include a current resume and copies of all required certificates. Experience writing /implementing Health Care Plans are preferred.
Effective Date: June 24, 2024 through July 26, 2024, not to exceed 40 hours per week. This position is dependent on medical needs of enrolled students and hours will be on an as needed basis.
