Description

The Business Analyst will be responsible for driving efficiency and innovation by connecting business needs with software solutions. This role will play a critical part in ensuring smooth collaboration between stakeholders and development teams. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex business processes into actionable software solutions. OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLECollaborate across business units to identify and resolve process inefficiencies through technical solutions.Act as a liaison between business teams and software developers to ensure alignment and clarity of project goals and requirements.Develop systems prototypes and business models to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.Create and manage comprehensive project plans, with a focus on transparent communication and collaboration.Ensure the usability and functionality of systems through rigorous requirements gathering, testing, and documentation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage with business stakeholders (e.g., sales, finance, safety, compliance) to gather, document, and communicate clear system requirements.Translate business needs into functional specifications for developers, ensuring smooth handoff and clear expectations.Develop and maintain process models, data maps, flowcharts, and technical documentation to guide software development efforts.Conduct detailed system analysis to identify gaps, optimize processes, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Partner with development teams to facilitate testing, user acceptance, and feedback loops throughout the project lifecycle.Deliver regular status reports to all stakeholders, tracking progress and making adjustments as needed.Lead peer reviews of business requirements to ensure correct interpretation and alignment with project goals.Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, communicating changes and updates effectively to all teams involved.Research and recommend process improvements using continuous improvement methodologies.Use identified KPIs to develop, maintain, and address business concerns, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and analytics strategies to enhance statistical efficiency and data quality.Performs other related duties as requested.Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience in business analysis, systems development, or process improvement.Bachelor's degree in business, technology, engineering, finance, or logistics (or equivalent experience).Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without H-1B sponsorship.High proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and translating insights into actionable strategies.Strong ability to generate and manage technical and process documentation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and align priorities.Creative problem-solving skills, with a focus on resourceful solutions to complex challenges.Familiarity with technology platforms, data-gathering tools, and development lifecycles.Experience testing and mapping business processes to software solutions.Strategic thinking, scenario planning, and risk mitigation techniques and systemsAbility to utilize Business Acumen to develop strategies that enhance profitability while mitigating risks.Time Management with the ability to prioritize and plan operational workload.Ability to communicate with people from all levels of education and backgrounds.PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Visio or similar programs for process modeling.Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).Proven ability to manage software-related projects and user testing processes effectively.DIRECT REPORTS
