As a core member of our Analytics team, you'll design and optimize robust data models that drive critical insights across departments, ensuring our data is structured in a way that's intuitive and accessible for end users.
In this role, you'll work at the intersection of analytics, data engineering, and business strategy, partnering with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to build high-quality data models tailored to Weave's needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, collaborative engineer who's eager to make an impact, streamline processes, and foster a data-rich environment. Data Model Development & Optimization:
Develop and refine data models to provide accurate, reliable data for analytics, data science, and reporting purposes.Collaborative Partnership:
Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and analysts to build models that address technical and business requirements.Enable Self-Serve Analytics:
Improve documentation and organize data to empower team members across the organization to independently access and leverage data.Mentorship & Support:
Mentor fellow analytics engineers and analysts, supporting their growth in technical and analytical capabilities.Insight-Driven Support:
Assist analysts as they explore and draw insights from data, facilitating actionable findings through a well-structured data framework.What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job
5+ years in an analytics engineer, data engineer, or similar role, with a proven track record of successful data modeling and data warehouse management.Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehouse structures, and query optimization. Experience with dbt and Snowflake is a plus.Creative problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally to design solutions that meet business and technical needs.Skilled at organizing, documenting, and structuring data for self-service, with a focus on making data accessible and understandable for all.Quick to adapt to evolving requirements, with a drive to continuously improve and expand their scope of impact.What Will Make Us Love You
Advanced SQL skills including advanced query optimization and troubleshooting, with a knack for making complex queries efficient and user-friendly.Exceptional communication skills with an ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, bridging the gap between data and business needs.A proactive attitude toward identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving initiatives that enhance the organization's data capabilities.Solid understanding of business concepts and KPIs, with a proven ability to design data solutions that align with broader company objectives.Familiarity with building scalable data models that can grow and adapt as business needs evolve, ensuring long-term usability.
