About the opportunity:
The Accounting Director will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the Accounting team, including financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements. This role requires a detail oriented leader with a deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to drive financial excellence.
The day to day:
Provide strategic direction and coaching to three current direct reports.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounts and reconciliations.Review and approve complex journal entries and adjustments.Help manage the internal and external audit processes (SOX)Oversee the maintenance of fixed asset records and related accounting.Ownership of Company wide intercompany process and reconciliation.Contribute to the development of the Company's FX and translation reporting and analysis.Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals.Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function including further developing process documentation and team training.Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests.What you'll bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a Management roleExperience with payment processors (Adyen, PayPal, etc.) and the associated Cash to Order reconciliations.Management of Cash financial reporting and the related reconciliations by working closely with the Treasury team.Knowledge of FX and how it impacts the financial statementsFamiliarity with Lease Accounting, specifically ASC842.Previously working with Workday Financials is a plus.Ability to work independently and lead a team.Why Shutterstock:
