The Business Systems Manager is a hands-on role, accountable for maintaining the day-to-day operations and healthy functioning of our marketing operations platforms and databases. This critical role owns the marketing technology production support and ensures that our data and core platforms are running optimally to drive marketing and sales efficiency and revenue.
The ideal candidate is technology savvy, thrives in continuous improvements, understands the business drivers of performance marketing, and has direct experience managing Salesforce, Active Campaign (or similar marketing automation), and Call Center platform operations.
Responsibilities:Data & Platform Operations Managemento Own the day-to-day operations of core marketing technology platforms, including but not limited to CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (Active Campaign), routine configuration of telephony settings (Five 9), periodic maintenance of contact databaseso Function as the first line of platform support to triage production problems and coordinate diagnostics and resolutions with vendors or technology teams, including but not limited to Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, Five9, PowerBI, Everflow, Zendesk, DataGrail.o Oversee dashboards and reports to proactively monitor the health and performance of core platforms and integrations.o Oversee data hygiene processes, including deduplication, validation, enrichment, and regular audits of contact data. Implement best practices for access control across platforms to safeguard customer information.o Collaborate with the marketing and analytics teams to ensure contact data are usable and accurate for effective targeting and reporting.o Collaborate with cross-functional teams across marketing, sales, technology, and external vendors to ensure that our platforms evolve with business needs.o Facilitate user training and documentation of procedures, ensuring all team members are proficient with platform capabilities and operating practices.Marketing Automation and Campaign Support:o Work closely with the marketing channel managers to support campaign execution, marketing automation workflow implementation, list loads, data segmentation, and data synchronization between ActiveCampaign (or other marketing automation platform) with Salesforce CRM.Process Improvement and Optimization:o Identify and implement improvements to marketing operations workflows.o Regularly evaluate platform usage and performance, identifying opportunities to automate processes, streamline data flows, and reduce operational bottlenecks.o Evaluate vendor solutions and provide input on innovative technologies or enhancements to existing platforms to improve marketing effectiveness.

Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, or similar role in web development teams, operating in an agile framework.Strong knowledge of web technologies, cross-platform API integrations, digital marketing, and user journey mapping.Experience with Wordpress content management systems (or similar platforms).Experience with web UX/UI design principles. Experience with user research, feedback collection, and data analysis to diagnose friction points and inform recommendations.Analytical and Data-Driven. Proficiency with SQL and web analytics tools to query data, understand performance metrics, and translate data into recommendations for actionable improvements.Technical Communication Proficiency. Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to grasp and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Problem Solver: Proactive in identifying issues and recommending courses of actions.Highly Organized and Detail-oriented. Meticulous with project details with a strong ability to organize and stay on top of project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
