Senior Engineer, Integrated Tactical Warning and Assessment (ITW/AA) Systems Engineering and Integration - Cyber Enterprise SMEThis is a hybrid work opportunity.

ITW/AA Cyber Enterprise SME will provide the human interface to lead ITW/AA systems integration tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to capture the communications pathways and cyber equities between multiple systems. This requires a self-starter who will have the opportunity to build their portion of the program. A strong background in cyber and systems engineering is highly desired for this task. This position requires both the working knowledge of the ITW/AA weapons system to identify all critical participants and the executive skills to maintain excellent working relationships with all participants. In addition, the ITW/AA Cyber Enterprise SME directly supports the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) in preparing, executing, and capturing senior-level meetings that have enterprise-wide impacts.

The ITW/AA Cyber Enterprise SME will be required to perform the following duties and tasks:

Liaise with all data providers across ITW/AA enterpriseProvide updates to and periodically validate databases of interface controls and message formatsOrganize meetings and milestones in the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) process to facilitate recommendations for configuration changes to the ITW/AA systems and interfacesPlan and execute the ITW/AA Enterprise Working Group (IEWG), Missile Warning Algorithm Working Group (MWAWG), and other meetings as requiredMaintain the Classified and Unclassified ITW/AA SE&I portals to facilitate information sharingParticipate in efforts tied to the stand-up of the ITW/AA Lead Program Office (LPO) and the establishment of the ITW/AA As A Weapon System (IAAWS) Assessment Management System (AMS)Required Experience, Knowledge, SkillsTop Secret Security Clearance required, with SCI eligibilityBachelor's Degree required, with a graduate degree in a related field preferred10 years of experience required in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 3 years must include missile warning domain experienceMust reside within one hour of Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), COStrong self-motivator with the ability to work well independently and in a teamAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to follow through and complete HQ-level assignments/tasking with an emphasis on attention to detail and professional interaction with senior leadersComputer proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookDesired Experience, Knowledge, SkillsExtensive background in missile warning operations with previous experience working in the NORAD-NORTHCOM Command Center preferredIn-depth understanding of ITW/AA change control managementIn-depth understanding of ICDs and data architectureExperience with cyber approval processesCan evaluate and develop an incident management approach and incident response plan and oversee the incident management program within the LPO for the ITW/AA System. Working knowledge to work with analysts to anticipate and respond to IT incidents while enabling operations across program processes.Must be articulate in the design and implementation of secure networks, development of security protocols, implementation of access controls, and be able to perform security assessments as required.Experience with AI/ML preferable, especially with emerging cyber security toolsMust be able to brief in front of audiences effectivelyExperience at tactical (hands-on keyboard) and executive levels of cybersecurityUnderstanding of the ITW/AA architecture and multitude of different systems and message formats utilized from the sensors, to the correlation centers, to the forward usersComputer proficiency, including Teams, SharePoint, Jira, and ConfluencePreferredSecurity +, Network + or higher cyber credentials

Work Location

Work performance primarily consists of telework. A government laptop will be provided to access necessary sites and data on the Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET). In addition to telework, work will be performed at various temporary meeting locations at PSFB and other locations within the greater Colorado Springs, CO region. No permanent workspace is provided. Must be able to support onsite meetings at PSFB within one hour of notice from the Government.

Pay Range:

$90,000 - $120,000 per hour
