In this role, you'll lead the development, management, and continuous improvement of compensation programs, people analytics, and HR information systems (HRIS) to ensure our HR services meet the evolving needs of our employees and organization.This position involves overseeing compensation structures to maintain competitive, fair, and transparent practices; using data-driven insights to guide decisions through people analytics; and driving HRIS enhancements that improve efficiency and employee experience. You'll also focus on process improvements and operational efficiencies, championing initiatives that support our employees while aligning with the Port's overarching goals.We offer a flexible hybrid schedule that combines work-life balance with team collaboration. You'll be in the office Tuesday through Thursday to engage with colleagues and support our business lines, with the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.Essential Job DutiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead the Compensation and HRIS team by setting a strategic roadmap, implementing improvements, and overseeing team initiatives.Guide and coach team members, set priorities, and delegate work effectively to foster a high-performing, collaborative environment.Develop and monitor team KPIs, manage project timelines, communicate risks or challenges, and ensure alignment with department goals.Compensation Strategy & Administration

Lead the design and administration of compensation policies and programs, including base salary, incentives, and recognition.Develop competitive, motivational, and cost-effective compensation structures aligned with Port business objectives.Ensure compliance with pay equity laws by guiding pay equity reviews and consulting with managers and HR Business Partners on job design and pay implications.People Analytics

Create and implement a strategy to advance people analytics, providing insights through tools and technologies.Develop metrics and reports on HR performance, attrition, diversity, and employee engagement to support data-driven decisions.Enable leadership to make strategic decisions by improving access to and understanding of analytics and insights.HR Information Systems (HRIS) Management

Oversee HR systems such as Achievers, Cornerstone, and NeoGov to ensure optimization, accuracy, and data integrity.Maintain strong internal controls and continuously improve system functionality to meet organizational needs.Compliance & Policy Management

Maintain and provide guidance on personnel policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular policy reviews and handle additional projects as assigned to support HR compliance and operational needs.Key Skills and Competencies:

Minimum QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.OR

equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Experience:

at least 5 (five) years of progressively responsible experience in Compensation, Total Rewards, Data Analytics, or HR Systems.at least 3 (three) years of people management experience.Licenses/Certifications:

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from World at Work - PreferredPHR or SPHR from SHRM - Preferred

During the week of December 1st, Human Resources and the Hiring Manager will evaluate the education, training, and experience outlined in submitted application packets.Subject Matter Expert (SME) Evaluation:

A panel of internal Subject Matter Experts will assess your experience and training based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questionnaire.Interview Scheduling:

Our goal is to schedule first-round interviews with candidates who successfully pass the SME evaluation during the week of December 16. The first round will typically involve the recruiter and the hiring manager.Compensation:Our organization adheres to established salary ranges for each position to ensure equitable pay practices. However, final offers are determined based on various factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and considerations of internal pay equity.
