We are looking for
Warehouse Associates (Warehouse I)
to join our team. The role involves prioritizing and picking products to fill orders, staging products for loading, and assisting in maintaining an organized warehouse. You will be responsible for operating powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting periodic inventory counts, and ensuring safe warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities:
Order Picking and Product Staging: Prioritize and pick products for customer orders, ensuring accuracy in product selection and quantity.Loading and Unloading: Load and unload delivery trucks, requiring frequent physical lifting and movement of products (up to 50 lbs).Warehouse Organization: Maintain an organized warehouse by sorting and categorizing inventory, ensuring sufficient space for overflow, and optimizing layout for efficiency.Inventory Management: Assist in verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, report discrepancies, and assist with periodic inventory counts.Operate Industrial Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other powered industrial vehicles, maintaining an operator license if required.Housekeeping and Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks such as sweeping floors, maintaining restrooms, and keeping the loading dock and warehouse area tidy.Reporting and Documentation: Compile and submit reports on damaged, outdated, or defective stock; over- and under-shipments; and returns to vendors.Administrative Support: Assist with paperwork and administrative duties related to inventory and daily warehouse operations.Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments, including the Distribution Center Supervisor, Leads, and Customer Pick-Up Coordinator.Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.Experience: Previous work experience in a warehouse setting or similar role is preferred, but not required.Skills:Safety & Compliance: Ability to follow and maintain safety procedures and compliance at all times.Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks throughout the shift.Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Teamwork: Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Physical Demands:Requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.Must occasionally lift and carry products weighing up to 50 pounds.Must be able to use hands and arms to handle, finger, and feel objects, tools, or controls, and be able to reach with hands and arms.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:Warehouse environment with exposure to weather conditions when loading/unloading products.Noise level is usually moderate.Travel: None required.
