Job Description
The Enterprise Systems Team supports and ensures business success through a wide range of technology solutions. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will serve as a technology champion and leader for designing and implementing these solutions. This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to work in project teams. Job Location: This will be a hybrid role working 3x per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) out of our office in North Olmsted, OH or Maumee, OH
Infrastructure Design and Implementation:Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions aligned with business goals supporting software such as SAP and Oracle.Implement and optimize server configurations, network protocols, and other technologies.Infrastructure Security:
Develop and enforce robust security measures to protect enterprise systems from vulnerabilities and cybersecurity threats.Conduct regular security patching, updates, and assessments to maintain a secure environment.Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide escalated technical support for reported issues, ensuring timely resolution.Diagnose and rectify server/storage/network failures, minimizing downtime and disruptions.Performance Optimization:
Monitor infrastructure performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement improvements for optimal efficiency.Implement strategies to enhance performance and reliability.Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate with associates to understand business needs and integrate solutions accordingly.Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.Emerging Technologies and Best Practices:
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging networking technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.Identify and promote best practices for network design, security, and optimization.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.5+ years of proven experience in infrastructure engineering, with expertise in enterprise Linux, VMware, storage systems support. NetApp experience a plusStrength in programming, scripting, and process automation.Strong proficiency in general networking, storage, virtualization methods and technologiesExperience with firewall, VPN, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.In-depth knowledge of security principles and best practices.Certifications such as Linux+, RHCE, SCE or similar are desirable.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
