We are seeking a highly experienced and energized Principle Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to strategize, design, optimize, and oversee our IT infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with our strategic goals and supports our growth. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in IT, with extensive expertise in infrastructure architecture, cloud solutions, and security. You will play a pivotal role in building and managing a productive, secure, scalable, and resilient technology environment, leveraging a variety of tools and technologies, including Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and more..
What you'll do:
Design and Architecture:
Design, develop, and implement high-level designs for the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud environments, applications, and endpoint devices.Plan, lead, manage, and be accountable for infrastructure projects, from conception through deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.Design and partner where appropriate to implement solutions for network security, leveraging Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and Okta, ensuring robust security and compliance standards.Reporting and Org Structure:
This is an Individual Contributor position. This role reports to the VP of IT, who in turn reports to the CIO. This function will be matrixed, with dotted lines of responsibility to the Chief Enterprise Architect and to colleagues within the IT Org at the Director level.There will also be heavy collaboration and coordination with the global CyberSecurity and PMO Teams.IT Infrastructure Strategy and Planning:
Collaborate with IT leadership to create an IT roadmap that aligns with business goals and objectives; continually improve, update, and communicate the roadmap.Conduct regular analysis of the current technology landscape, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.Establish and communicate short-term and long-term IT goals that support the organization's overall strategy.Track industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive threats to inform strategic decisions.Enterprise Architecture and Strategic Initiatives:
Passionately participate in a virtual enterprise architecture function, collaborating with architects from various domains to ensure cohesive IT strategy and alignment across the enterprise.Lead key infrastructure initiatives as a project lead, overseeing end-to-end execution, resource planning, and delivery within budget and time constraints.Cloud and On-Premises Strategy:
Architect and manage hybrid infrastructure, incorporating both Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and on-premises systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify optimal cloud and on-premises configurations, leveraging Google Workspace and cloud services for productivity and collaboration.Technology Integration:
Implement and manage integrations across multiple platforms, including Slack for communication, Okta for identity management, and ServiceNow for IT service operations management.Lead mobile device management (MDM) for laptops, mobile devices, and other endpoints, ensuring compliance with security policies and efficient device provisioning.Security and Compliance:
Develop, enforce, and monitor IT security protocols across networks, devices, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.Configure and maintain network security appliances (e.g., Palo Alto Networks), identity management tools (e.g., Okta), and device management policies to protect the organization's infrastructure.Operational Support:
Provide technical oversight and guidance, including supporting teams in troubleshooting and managing escalations through tools such as PagerDuty and ServiceNOW.Ensure infrastructure monitoring, performance tuning, and availability optimization across servers, networks, and endpoints.Collaboration and Communication:
Act as a senior technical advisor, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to align infrastructure goals with business objectives.Draft and coordinate communications to ensure the right people hear the right messaging at the right point in time.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.What you'll bring
15+ years in IT, with 5+ years in a senior/principle infrastructure architecture role.Proven experience with hybrid infrastructure design and management, including cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).Technical Proficiency:
Strong background in network architecture, particularly with Palo Alto Networks and Cisco for secure, scalable networking.Proficiency with Okta for identity management, Google Workspace for productivity and collaboration, and Slack for team communication.Hands-on experience with device management (MDM), including provisioning and security for servers, laptops, and mobile devices.Knowledge of ServiceNow for IT service management and PagerDuty for incident management.Security Expertise:
Strong understanding of network and endpoint security, including firewalls, access controls, and security best practices.Familiarity with compliance requirements, risk management, and secure system design.Soft Skills:
