The successful candidate will be expected to manage complex litigation and provide strategic legal advice to clients.Duties:Manage complex copyright litigation matters, including those involving technology and digital platforms.Draft and file legal documents such as motions, briefs, and legal memoranda related to copyright cases.Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.Conduct legal research and provide insights into complex copyright issues, particularly those related to technology.Collaborate with senior attorneys and internal teams to develop case strategies.Guide clients on legal matters and assist with ongoing case management.Take an active role in client communications, ensuring their needs are met and advising on case strategy.Requirements:4-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, focusing on copyright litigation.Strong understanding of the relationship between copyright law and technology, with experience in cases that involve digital platforms or technology-related issues.A technical background (e.g., engineering, computer science) is preferred but not required.Strong academic credentials with a proven track record in handling complex legal issues.Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely to clients and colleagues.Ability to work independently while managing a high volume of cases and maintaining attention to detail.Leadership skills with a proactive approach to taking on increasing responsibility in client matters.Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where the attorney practices (California preferred, but other jurisdictions may be considered).Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the California State Bar (or eligibility to practice in California).Additional bar memberships in other jurisdictions are a plus.Skills:In-depth knowledge of copyright law, particularly in technology-related cases.Strong litigation skills, including the ability to draft motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.Exceptional research and analytical abilities.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Ability to manage complex cases and client relationships.Strong time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.Company info
