IT Infrastructure Engineer

News-Press & Gazette Company (NPG) is seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who is willing to take on new opportunities. The Infrastructure Engineer will be based at our corporate office in St. Joseph, Missouri, with opportunities for Hybrid - Remote work to support NPG employees.

Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and replace failed hardware; install and troubleshoot softwarePurchase and deploy infrastructure hardware; manage hardware inventoryManage company Domain Controllers, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP servicesAdminister company email environmentLead and manage IT projectsCollaborate with team members on various IT projectsDevelop and maintain documentation for IT processes and proceduresEnsure network security and compliance with company policiesManage networks, including telecommunication, internet connection, switches, and routersManage datacenters, including SANs and physical serversAdminister Windows and Linux serversAdminister VMWare vSphereDesign and implement infrastructure components such as networks, applications, and virtual environmentsWork closely with broadcast engineers, other system technical personnel, and third-party vendorsProvide excellent customer supportQualifications Required:
High school diploma or GEDValid Missouri driver's license with an acceptable MVR and adequate insurance, or the ability to obtain oneAbility to participate in a shared 24x7 on-call rotationStrong knowledge of networking concepts and protocolsExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills2+ years of experience working with Active DirectorySuccessful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screeningQualifications Preferred:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT or a related fieldPrevious IT Service Desk or Helpdesk experienceExperience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)Experience with VMWare vSphere3+ years of experience working with layer 3 Cisco switches3+ years of experience administering Windows Server
