Position Overview
The Director, Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing general HR strategy and services to ISG’s largest region, the Americas, as well as two global businesses, GovernX and Research. Reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) with a dotted line to the Vice Chairman, President Americas & Asia Pacific. The incumbent will be a member of our global HR Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
Help develop and drive HR portion of overall business strategy
Partner with Talent Acquisition group to ensure assigned businesses have appropriate talent to foster current and future business success
Assess talent for assigned businesses using tools including succession planning, talent grids and development plans for leaders and employees
Partner with Talent Development group to ensure appropriate and relevant training programs are offered and accessed
Coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) with regards to talent acquisition, mobility, compensation and talent assessments. Drive related processes for assigned businesses
Help with employee relations and issues by providing solutions, resolving problems & overseeing all business decisions from HR/labor law perspective
Orchestrate delivery of key talent interventions
Influence and support diversity programs across the organization
Build and sustain authentic, exciting and impactful culture and personal growth environment within the supported teams
May be asked to manage special projects or processes related to process or program improvements for the firm
Manage a team of 2 HR professionals
Manage employee benefits in the Americas
Required Skillsets
A minimum of 12 years of Human Resources experience in a generalist/functional role with significant experience in the professional services industry.
Experience and comfort in providing advice to senior leadership.
Well versed in HR compliance, legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; detail oriented.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and experience in an HRIS is preferred; ability to learn new databases and applications is required
Maturity in dealing with complex situations, changes, and requirements. Comfortable operating in and making decisions in ambiguous settings.
Personally resilient
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field strongly preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position will be based in ISG’s corporate headquarters in Stamford, CT . ISG has flexible work arrangements. Time in the office will be dependent upon the schedule of CHRO, Vice Chairman, CEO and supported business leaders. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
