This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on high-profile cases and shape the future of copyright law alongside some of the most talented litigators in the field.Duties:Handle complex copyright litigation matters, focusing on technology-related cases and the intersection of copyright law with emerging technologies.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client counsel on ongoing matters.Draft, review, and argue motions, legal memoranda, and other related documents.Represent clients in court, hearings, and settlement negotiations.Collaborate with clients to develop legal strategies and provide sound counsel on intellectual property and copyright issues.Engage in strategic case management, from pre-litigation to settlement or trial, ensuring alignment with the client's business and legal goals.Work closely with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality legal services.Requirements:4-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, with a strong focus on copyright litigation.Solid understanding of the intersection of technology and copyright law.A technical background (e.g., engineering, computer science) is preferred but not required.Strong academic credentials and proven success in handling complex litigation.Excellent research, analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage cases effectively.Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to taking on increasing responsibility.Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where the attorney practices (D.C. preferred, other jurisdictions may be acceptable).Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the state bar of the jurisdiction where the attorney practices.Skills:In-depth knowledge of copyright law, particularly about technology and intellectual property.Strong experience in drafting and arguing complex motions and legal documents.Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.Ability to handle high-profile litigation cases and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.Strong oral advocacy skills and courtroom experience.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
