$100,000 - $200,000WHAT YOU WILL DOPurpose of this Role:
The Litigation Associate provides exceptional legal representation to the Firm’s Commercial litigation clients, including financial institutions, in a wide variety of matters, including real estate related litigated files.Value to the Team:
The Litigation Associate will contribute to the legal team by collaborating with team members to share knowledge and expertise, provide guidance and oversight to non-attorney (paralegal) staff to ensure efficiency and compliance with laws, regulations, client contractual requirements, court rules and best practices; collectively solving client problems, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of legal services provided.Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:Independently manage a litigation caseload, developing cases from inception through resolution, and post-judgment recovery;Ability to meet, and exceed deadlines, client requirements, and management expectations;Regularly handle court appearances ranging from simple hearings to second chair at trial;Communicate effectively with management and clients to provide status reports, and progress reports.Training and Experience:JD from an accredited law school;Member of the Florida Bar in good standing;2-5+ years of litigation experience including drafting pleadings, motions and discovery and attending depositions and lightly contested hearings;Superior communication, writing, and research skills.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:High degree of organizational skills;Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities;Strong time-management and prioritization skills;Self-driven with ability to work independently or collaboratively, as needed;Excellent and adaptive interpersonal and communication skills;Commitment to providing exceptional, responsive, and time-bound client service;Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and computer savvy;Compliance focused;Emotional intelligence.WHO WE AREFor nearly half a century the Firm has been known as thought leaders in the creditors’ rights industry.
