Network Management Lead
to join our team in Washington, D.C.
You will lead a team of network engineers and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of providing end-to-end network management services and support for the customer’s organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead for networking team which is responsible for the customer’s LAN environment, remote access, wireless, VTC and support for the WAN and primary TIC.
Manage and monitor customer LAN network and network devices; proactively identify issues, monitor capacity/demand and recommend potential solutions.
Develop and oversee implementation of network and VTC change requests for firewalls, firewall policies, routing, switching, proxy services, VPN, remote access, DNS, mail, SD-WAN and public cloud service deployments (AWS and Azure).
Implement cloud networking solutions to meet customer requirements through direct management of cloud service portals.
Implement, operate, configure, maintain, and replace prior to EOL current monitoring tools (Riverbed, Cisco DNA, Cisco Prime, Live Action, and Xymon).
Troubleshoot complex problems across multiple system boundaries and system owners to achieve operational success.
Analyze Splunk log data to troubleshoot service issues and report on data traffic trends; also use RiverBed analytic tools to troubleshoot service issues and report on data traffic trends.
Review and analyze issue and/or service outage & impairment reports; identify and document, and root cause analyses (RCA) and develop after action reports (AAR).
Analyze, test, develop, and implement new technology solutions including multi-media communications, data management tools, and network monitoring systems and tools.
Coordinate and consult with 3rd party vendors on existing or new technology, services, and solutions proposals.
Document and update SOPs; prepare customer presentations, project plans, weekly status reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree preferably in a computer science or Cybersecurity related field.
Minimum of 10 years of IT experience; a minimum of 5 years network management experience and 2 years experience serving as a Team Lead.
Must have network management and engineering experience working with classified and unclassified LANs, cloud networking, Remote Access, Wireless, VTC and TIC(s).
Must have hands-on experience with Cisco DNA, Cisco Prime, Cisco VTC, F5, Riverbed, Fortigate, LiveAction, and Xymon.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills; possess excellent ability to work with customers and coordinate with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred experience with network security support and experience using Splunk.
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
