Data Strategy Development: Along with stakeholders, assists in the development and implementation of data governance strategies, frameworks, policies, and procedures throughout the agency to promote improved data accessibility, integrity, and security.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Training: Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to promote data governance best practices. Assists in the development and conduction of training sessions and workshops to enhance data literacy and governance awareness among agency staff.

Agency Resource: To provide the agency's data governance practices remain cutting-edge and compliant with evolving regulations, the incumbent is expected to continuously update their knowledge and skills in data management by keeping abreast of the latest industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Completes other duties assigned. All employees will be available for work duties when emergency events occur and will respond as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Preferred Qualifications

A Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) from Data Management Association (DAMA) or other relevant data governance certification; familiarity with data privacy laws and regulation; working knowledge of data governance tools. Project management experience. Able to prioritize tasks and deliver results within deadlines.
