DataBank's Cloud Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of both public and private cloud infrastructure and related systems. As a member of the engineering team, you will collaborate with other highly skilled technical staff responsible for engineering the cloud computing, storage, backup, and OS/application layers of DataBank's overall product stack and internal systems. This hands-on technical role will require daily interaction with cloud compute platforms and their related systems. This position's primary responsibilities will be the maintenance and support of our diverse core infrastructure to meet and exceed the SLA requirements of the company. Candidates must have the ability to prioritize projects and/or tasks. This position requires work to be performed after business hours. On-Call is required on a rotational basis. In the case of outages, the candidate must work alone or within a team environment until the problem is resolved. These events may or may not be during the normally scheduled on-call duty. Responsibilities Research and development of new processes, procedures, and technologies that impact DataBank business operations and efficiencies Assist with the deployment, implementation, and maintenance of diverse client systems including Windows, Linux, and VMware Assist with the deployment, implementation, and maintenance of core infrastructure and services that continue to grow under DataBank's management Maintain Infrastructure components from critical vendors including Cisco, Dell, HPE, NetApp, Broadcom, Veeam, and Infinidat Support a wide spectrum of technologies that includes but is not limited to Enterprise Storage and Backup Platforms, Windows and Linux servers, and VMware virtualization technologies Meet project deadlines and manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects while adhering to a time allocation model Assess the scope and impact of incidents and respond with a sense of urgency that matches the incident, following appropriate policies and procedures Effectively communicate at all levels of the organization Manage conflict and challenging situations with positive outcomes for the clients and company Make decisions and judgments based on standard procedures Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and adapt to changing business conditions Proactive, upbeat, and collaborative communication style, with the ability to be direct, tactful, and transparent Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills Assist clients with troubleshooting technical issues Respond or be available immediately to any system failures, 24x7, after-hours, or otherwise Provide exceptional customer service via telephone and e-mail Required Qualifications Two (2) plus years of experience supporting and resolving complex issues in an enterprise-class cloud architecture in a mission-critical environment A minimum of two (2) years in an enterprise-class VMware environment, preferably with NSX experience Understanding of cloud security concepts including Firewall, VPC's, Encryption, Authentication, and Authorization (SSO, Active Directory/LDAP, etc.) strategies Enterprise productization processes, including asset management, data protection, capacity management, performance management, and lifecycle management Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and SSL Experience supporting an environment with multiple dependencies One (1) year successfully working remotely Preferred Qualifications One (1) plus years supporting VEEAM, Dell IDPA, Commvault, or other Enterprise Backup Solutions One (1) year in Cisco UCS (Blade & Chassis) One (1) year scripting Bash, PowerShell, Python, or others One (1) year supporting NetApp, HPE 3PAR, HPE Nimble, Infinidat, or other storage platforms One (1) year working with Zerto or a similar Disaster Recovery Solution One (1) year working with a Multi-tenant Bare Metal Solution Benefits Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance Packages Short-Term and Long-Term Disability?Insurance Life Insurance 401k with company match Three weeks' Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays
