Job Description:
Provide senior leadership for the Aerojet Rocketdyne, Space Propulsion and Power Systems Sector Contracts organization in areas of operations and international expertise, including offsets. Position will focus tactically on helping the organization improve its cash collection while also putting in place strategic process improvements to drive greater discipline in proposal generation, change management, international contracting and linkage between contracts and subcontracts .
Essential Functions:
Lead a team of Contracts Managers with a sophisticated portfolio of NASA, US Government, and commercial contracts of all types.
Proactive, engaged and influential member of the Contracts Leadership Team.
Negotiate at an expert-level with major space and defense contractors and government agencies to achieve favorable terms and conditions
Partner and drive alignment between contracts, subcontracts, program management, and strategy and business development.
Provide direction and guidance in establishing consistent training objectives to enhance employee competencies and skills for a best-in-class contracts organization.
Develop strong, ongoing relationships with internal/external customers
Resolve contract disputes (e.g., Claims/REAs).
Oversee commercial, international and government contract development and management activities, and enforce organizational principles of integrity, accountability and compliance.
Work closely with stakeholders and corporate representatives for Legal, Contracts, Global Trade Control, Intellectual Property and Anti-Bribery Compliance.
Lead Contract closeout team for multiple Sectors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
This position will require the individual to be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Subject matter expertise in Government, Commercial, and International contracting
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
10+ years of experience with leadership in contracts management, including overseeing large, complex proposals and negotiations.
Demonstrated experience in leading complex contracts organizations
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and the FAR, DFARS and other government procurement regulations.
Finance and Estimating/Pricing acumen a plus.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $153,500 - $284,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
