The successful candidate will focus on representing title insurance companies, insureds, lenders, owners, lawyers, developers, and contractors through all phases of the litigation process, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Represent clients in real estate litigation, including title insurance companies, lenders, property owners, and contractors.Manage all phases of litigation, from initial investigation through pleadings, discovery, and pre-trial motions.Prepare detailed case evaluations, draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and provide strategic legal advice.Work independently as well as part of a collaborative team to achieve favorable outcomes.Demonstrate strong organizational skills and manage complex litigation matters effectively.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in North Carolina and in good standing with the State Bar.Minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate litigation or commercial litigation.Proven experience managing all aspects of complex litigation.Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft and argue legal documents effectively.Excellent research and analytical abilities, with a focus on detail and thoroughness.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop and execute strategic legal plans.High proficiency in handling depositions, mediations, and trials.
