GoPursue is hiring a
full-time Account Executive . Working directly with the CEO and another AE, you will grow our company through B2B SaaS sales. Your target customers will be employers and trade associations in the mid-atlantic region who are recruiting early talent for career-connected learning and entry-level work opportunities.
We are prioritizing candidates who are driven, collaborative, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will lead the full sales cycle, from new account acquisition to renewals with current customers, so passion for GoPursue’s mission and passion to learn are both essential for success.
This can be a remote position. Hybrid work (1-2 days/week in person) is preferred, so candidates willing to commute to the Washington, D.C. metro region receive preference.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate revenue by selling software as a service and implementation services to employers.
Lead full-cycle sales process, from outbound prospecting to closing deals.
New account acquisition through prospecting activities including cold calls, referrals, cold emailing, sequences, and qualified lead list building.
Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline including CRM management.
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and other key performance goals including new account acquisition, renewal rate, and win rate.
Collaborate with a small, close-knit team to shape sales strategies, product offering, and overall company growth direction.
Represent GoPursue’s mission and values in every interaction, building strong relationships with customers and K12 partners.

Full-Cycle Sales Professional:
Comfortable with the entire sales process and experienced in prospecting, especially in a startup or early-stage company setting.
Hunter Mentality:
You’re driven to seek new business opportunities, go above and beyond, and excel in a role where both autonomy and teamwork are key. You consistently outperform your quotas and KPIs.
Relevant Experience:
Prior experience in B2B SaaS Sales is a must. Bonus points for previous experience in HRTech, Talent Acquisition & Recruitment.
Adaptable & Entrepreneurial:
Eager to work in an environment where not all marketing and operational processes are finalized. Thrives on initiative and innovation.
Startup Savvy:
Experience with companies under 50 employees is a plus, especially if you have experience with companies of 10 or fewer employees.
Prioritizes Growth: Is motivated by growing, tackling new challenges, and vertically advancing your career. Invests time and energy in coaching, feedback, and life-long learning.
Bonus Points For:
Successfully closing contracts with K12 schools, corporations, or national trade associations.
A passion for improving K12 education in urban, suburban, and rural public schools.
Previous experience in a tech startup, particularly within a company under 10 employees.
Previous experience working on-the-ground roles in HR, recruiting, talent acquisition, workforce development, and K12 schools.
3+ years experience in B2B sales.
Compensation Package:
OTE Goal: $100,000 - $180,000. Base/Commission 50/50 split.
Optional equity in the company, allowing you to grow with GoPursue.
Remote and Hybrid are both possibilities in the Washington DC metro region.
Generous PTO allowance, including 1 week Company-Wide Winter Break.
