As a Global Layout Senior Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of Micron’s Operations Central Team (OCT) and will be responsible for establishing Global Layout standard methodologies and leading their adoption and implementation throughout the global network of manufacturing sites.

Your objective is to define equipment layout roadmaps that deliver world-class manufacturing performance as it relates to space efficiency and product flow that improves wafer outs. You must also be willing and capable of international travel, as needed, to accomplish your objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

Design sophisticated layout solutions that enable the achievement of industry leading Space Efficiency and Wafer Output.

Handle early stage layout analysis to determine most suitable locations for technology deployment.

Lead a global network of Layout teams across multiple geographic locations to achieve outstanding performance.

Drive global collaboration and alignment of Layout practices through the establishment of a Layout Copy Smart Team, maintain and supervise global layout metrics, and provide future forecasts.

Drive layout innovation by establishing the latest tool design/layout practices and adhere to the usage of BIM (Building Information Modeling).

Collaborate with process equipment teams to establish next generation tool designs that enable efficient cleanroom and sub-fab layout opportunities.

Provide individual site layout support to enable the achievement of business objectives.

Promote health and safety by evaluating practices, procedures, and designs to ensure we are performing to required safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.

10 Years of recent Semiconductor experience specifically focused in fab layout, Industrial Engineering or equivalent Fab subject areas.

Fluent in English both verbal and written.

Direct experience with Green Field fab design and consistent track record of improving production tool space density and wafer output.

Knowledgeable in Autodesk AutoCAD 2022 or higher.

Consistent record of driving process tool placement that improves fab output by reducing cross fab transportation requirements tool idle time.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Five years’ experience leading projects. Project Management Professional PMP Certification is preferred but not required.
