As a Films Process Manager, you will primarily be responsible to develop the pilot line for your given area, direct area process owners in process optimizations, yield improvements, defect reductions, and process manufacturability in preparation for transfer to high volume manufacturing sites. You will work closely with Process Development Technology teams and support ramping up of industry leading technology solutions for Advanced Memory Technology Nodes. You will have solid understanding of Thin Films Deposition process and hardware, specifically PVD, Metal CVD, Diffusion and Ion Implantation based methods, as well as deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and fab operations. You will encourage innovation and the ability to work multi-functional, influence inside and outside the organization, be comfortable dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity, and have excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Safety & Quality :
Finishes the required safety training and ensures all work is conducted in accordance with safety policies.
Drives a proactive safety culture and support the execution of EHS and PHA management systems.
Identifies areas of improvement and drives the team towards continuous improvements.
Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches on safety issues
Follows-up on safety and quality related issues and works towards resolution.
Operates and maintains the area according to documentation and guidelines to ensure safety and quality expectations are met.
Uses best known practices and network resources to stay aligned on best known methods.
Communication & Collaboration:
Partners with other Process development, operations development and planning teams to develop effective plans for area improvements and completion of goals.
Partners with suppliers to resolve process problems, defect issues, and enhance tool availability.
Improves communication and collaboration with area, department, and network partners, as well as with any external customers.
Ensures partnership with shift teams to resolve tool process issues and increase tool output.
Collaborates with supervisor and areas leaders to create personal performance and development goals.
Communicates proactively with 1st shift and Shift teams on the daily priorities and issues.
Attends and participates in DAM, TPM Teams, SPC, Transfer and other meetings.
Partners with area 1st shift stakeholders and shift teams to gather input for area improvement.
Communicates changes made to equipment/process and follows business rules for change control.
Partners with HVMs in data collection, gap analysis, and improvement implementation as part of Benchmarking and transfer activities.
Proactively communicates issues that could cause yield loss, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss.
Coordinate with Process Development Engineering, Process Integration, and Shift Ops on process issues and changes.
Partners with Shift Ops, SOT and the IE team to ensure existing process holds are minimized.
Proactively communicates known impacts of special processing requests and potential process holds to Shift Ops, IE and SOT Area Managers.
Technical/Data Analysis:
Applies data to make critical decisions.
Provides solving support for sophisticated problems and address root causes.
Serves as a key area resource for technical support and/or providing required technical resources to support TD requirements.
Project Management/Planning:
Collaborate with manufacturing and planning to improve area output and minimize wait and lost time.
Drives unscheduled downtime reductions, MA improvements, and excursion prevention to optimize overall fab performance.
Prioritizes projects and area focus on correcting tactical issues that impact productivity, as well as developing strategic solutions to achieve long term improvements.
Partners with Shift Ops and IE to optimize the workstation balance in the area.
Performance Management:
Conducts regular performance management and professional development of direct reports through clear expectations and accountability.
Ensures direct reports use the performance management tools, including maintaining documentation to collect feedback, plans, and progress to support performance rating
Supports team members in meeting critical deadlines through open communication and feedback, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Defines organizational roles to meet the overall job expectations of the team
Knows Micron policies and partners closely with HR
Ensures the area has succession plans for all key positions
Provides guidance to identify, develop and promote technical expertise (process, device, equipment, etc.)
Meets regularly with team members to review performance, provide feedback and create development plans using Workday.
Partners with direct reports to create long/short-term goals and projects that meet individual needs and the needs of the department.

Collaborate with manufacturing and planning to increase area output and minimize wait and lost time.
Drives unscheduled downtime reductions, MA improvements, and excursion prevention to optimize overall fab performance

Advanced understanding of SPC principles and use of analytical software to refine data.
Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
Proven track record to present highly technical information to internal and external audiences.
Strong leadership skills with the consistent track record to coordinate efforts across a variety of groups.
Proficiency in problem-solving and effective team and project organization.
Proficiency in various software applications, including MS Office Word and Excel and Power Point.
Proven track record to lead and coordinate meetings and initiate follow-up actions.

Education & Experience:
Required: BS or equivalent experience in an engineering related field or equivalent Micron experience, 4 years of fab engineering experience.
Strongly Preferred: Previous leadership and fab operations experiences..
