Travel Pay-$20hr, $30hr OT, $800 Lodging, $560 Meals

**NO RTO Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD***

MUST WORK 2 OUT OF 3 OF THE HOLIDAY BUNDLES (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD) if their contract starts after Thanksgiving they will likely work Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD)

*NM license can pend at time of submission ***travel experience strongly PREFERRED however if traveler is has 2+ years Level 1 Experience client may consider

36 or 48 hour shifts available

Approximately 60%-80% of the Emergency Department is admitted, and many of the ED rooms are "ED Holding

Level 1 trauma experience is preferred

Currently seeing an increased number of admit holds.

Medication administration, including IV medication via the seven medication rights; document and communicate clinical findings

Travel Compliance

Compliance document deadline is two Friday's before starting (10 days prior to start).RTO :RTO Restrictions : Client prefers that travelers only request one "holiday bundle" max (holiday bundles include: Block 1: 11/23 & 11/24 ; Block 2: 12/25 & 12/25 ; Block 3: 12/31 & 1/1 ; however if the traveler requires more than this, RTO will be requested upon offer.No RTO can be requested during the first 7 days of the contract or on the last day of the contract.If traveler can cut their RTO down to just 7 days or less for all units (except for PCU, which is RTO 10 days or less), and there are no major holidays included, then AM can automatically approve RTO without asking the client and speed up the offer process. Please encourage clinician to cut RTO down to 7 days or less to speed up process if possible. Otherwise RTO will be requested upon offer.

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the emergency room setting or other emergent critical care areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient careUses clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectivelyTriages effectively according to the severity and critical nature of patients' conditionComprehensively assesses a patient's needs, obtaining their medical history and personal information, and seeking a doctor's evaluation immediately for life-threatening issuesCommunicates with other medical professionals involved in the patient's care in a timely mannerIdentifies and recognizes abnormal symptoms and changes in patient condition, established priorities, and takes appropriate actionCarries out providers orders accurately and timelyPerforms, delegates, and supervises patient care activities within the scope of practice to meet the age-appropriate patient care needsPerforms and/or assists in emergency treatment as required in accordance with RN scope of practiceFollows emergency policies, procedures and protocols in an effective mannerAssesses the patient's physical, psychosocial, environmental, social, and educational needsDevelops, implements and updates patient's plan of care, including the education and discharge plan based on evidence-based practice standards and patient/family needs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary healthcare teamPerforms other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse License within the state of practiceMinimum of one year emergency room experience preferredComplies with all relevant professional standards of practiceParticipation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicableCurrent CPR if applicableTB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsSuccessful completion of new hire training as applicable to job siteUnderstand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirementsAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is requiredComputer proficiency requiredMust be at least 18 years of age
