Travel Nurse RN - ER/Trauma in Merced, CA

**Job Description:**

- Work in a 33-bed emergency room offering comprehensive patient care, including rooms equipped with cardiac monitors and a triage area. - Manage typical ER patients; requires transferring STEMIs, hemorrhagic strokes, and pediatric cases. - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 4 with an average of 210 patients. - Utilize Cerner electronic medical records system; opportunity to test out of Cerner training if experience is recent. - Collaborate with a 24/7 charge nurse, ER techs, and support staff with EMT, MA, or CNA experience. - Adhere to weekend and holiday work requirements. - Follow dress code: navy blue scrubs with options for navy, white, or black undershirts. - Engage with hospital resources including 24/7 RT, pharmacy, and central telemetry monitoring. - Participate in up to 6 shifts of floor-specific orientation with a preceptor. - Prepared to handle ER holds and patient boarding when necessary. - Comply with EMTALA, ensuring stabilization and treatment for all emergency department visitors regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. - Must adjust to hospital's cancellation policy, which may include up to 3 cancellations per contract.
