Optimum Sports Supervisor
Overview
Optimum Sports is the dedicated sports marketing agency within OMG. Unlike traditional sports marketing agencies, Optimum Sports operates in both the Sports Sponsorship and Sports Media landscapes. With the combination of both disciplines under a single offering, Optimum Sports is able to provide its clients with unique and advantageous marketplace leverage through which it delivers cohesive, multi-platform sports marketing strategies. Ingrained with the latest research and ROI tools, Optimum Sports facilitates everything from Ideation to Execution to Actualization. Our approach integrates media, investment, property, and insights to develop strategy, manage negotiation and execution, and evaluate performance of partnerships. Established in 2003, we continue to innovate in the sports marketplace and build solutions for our constantly evolving world. The Supervisor reports directly to the Associate Director and serves as the direct line of communication with clients on both media and sponsorship levels. He/she will analyze, design, initiate, and oversee sponsorship marketing and media strategies for assigned client(s). This includes the overall investigating of opportunities, evaluating them for fit with client/brand objectives, negotiating best terms on behalf of the client, managing day-to-day execution, and providing follow-up analysis of instituted programs, as needed.
Responsibilities
Develop broad understanding of clients' businesses and needsSolicit, evaluate, and negotiate sponsorship and media packages as they relate to overall client business strategies and/or client sports sponsorship assetsProactive in identifying new projects and business opportunities with existing clientsWork in direct cooperation with, and handles all strategy for, respective strategy teamsInteract with members of other SBU's as the respective disciplines of those SBU's are pertinent to proposed and executed sponsorship marketing strategiesDirect contact for other Omnicom marketing and creative agencies involved on the sports business initiatives for each respective clientManage junior staff (at any point 1-3 personnel) and is involved with evaluation of existing staff and consideration of potential employeesResponsible for continual briefing of unit Directors for the purpose of keeping their engagement in client initiatives, as well as for managing demands of DirectorsTravel as required (often times on weekends) for presentations, meetings and other client or industry events Core competencies include formulating marketing strategies, evaluating sponsorship proposals, and managing client servicesDesign decks and word documents that convey strategy supported with appropriate researchProduce relevant research from databases, industry trades and additional sourcesQualifications
Undergraduate degree required, preferably in Marketing, Business, Sports Management and/or CommunicationsGraduate or professional degree, or equivalent experience, recommended5-7 years of experience that provides aforementioned skills and abilitiesStrong ability to effectively communicate ideas in both a written and verbal settingExpert in industry knowledge and understanding of sports marketing vernacular and trendAbility to work well under pressure and deliver assignments under deadlineAbility to effectively and intelligently communicate with clients, internal strategy teams, alternate OMG SBU's and other agencies as neededAbility, willingness, and flexibility to work beyond the normal hours of the traditional workdaySelf-starter traits are essentialHigh level of proficiency in word, excel, power point and online researchEfficiency, organization and ability to handle multiple tasksAbility to perform and thrive in both a structured and unstructured environmentPassion for the sport - potentially played collegiately or above and/or follow extensivelyExperience in building out 360 marketing plans specifically surrounding the sportMedia partner expertise

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.
Compensation Range
$75,000-$90,000 USD
This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
