Job Goal: To provide a well organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
Performance Responsibliities:
Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher. Aid in checking, correcting and monitoring of students in the completion of their work. Assist students in mainstream classes. Reinforce behavior, study skills, and class routine established by the teacher. Assists students with snack, lunch and clean up routines. Assists with supervision during emergency drills, assemblies, recess, bus duty, and field trips. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers. Treat students as individuals, taking special consideration of each individual needs and potential. Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor. Terms of Employment: Nine-month year. Educational Support Personnel. Salary to be established by the Board.
