Sales Manager Job Description

Summary of Position:

Fortune Fish and Gourmet, the nation's premier seafood and specialty food distributor, has a unique and exciting opportunity for a passionate foodservice sales professional or culinary profession with sales ability. We're seeking a qualified sales manager with strong food knowledge and management experience in quality full-service restaurants/hotels and/or culinary sales is required for this position. In this role, you will work with chefs and restaurant owners daily, and you must be familiar with their expectations and requirements. To be successful you will possess a strong entrepreneur spirit and knowledge of the hospitality industry. You will be joining a team of dedicated industry professionals with a strong passion for perfection who are results driven. You must be detail oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, tenacious, and creative without being overbearing. Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills are essential.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and execute sales plans that promote and sell high quality seafood, humanely raised meat, poultry, game, and gourmet items.

Develop new business through networking and consultative sales approach and grow existing accounts.

Keep up with market trends, understand your customer business and present product solutions based on clients' needs and goals.Perform administrative duties such as preparing and presenting proposals, reporting against individual sales performance plans, and maintaining sales records.Minimum Requirements:

Degree preferred (Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or Culinary Arts)2-5 years of professional sales in the foodservice industry, or 5-7 years of chef/restaurant management.PC skills and proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.BENEFITS OFFERED:
