Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Senior Embedded Firmware Design Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative video collaboration products. You must be responsible, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test.
The Senior Embedded Firmware Design Engineer is the lead engineer on a project execution team. You will be responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of the embedded s/w for camera products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Senior Embedded Firmware Design Engineer is the lead engineer on a project execution team.You will be responsible for the architecture, design, development and implementation of the camera softwareYou would be responsible for bring-up, testing, production releases, bist implementations and support for mass productionTools/applications running on win/mac/linux for development and debug, applications for field upgrades as well as tools for manufacturing and productionSupport diagnostics and device operations.Interface with various hardware and software vendors on complex system integration tasks to achieve efficient, cost-effective and delightful product solutions.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
A Masters degree with 4-8 years career experience in computer science or computer engineering.Must have experience with Embedded Linux/Android and RTOS on ARM processorsMust have experience with USB (hotplug drivers)Experience with Video devices, Image sensors and image processors is a mustExperience with uboot, CFE, ramFSExperience with I2C, SPI, I2S, UART, Flash RAMs, LCD, SD cardsExperience with BOTH C and C++ programming in 8, 16 and 32-bit embedded environments and knowledge of assemblyExperience with Audio and Video codecs is a plusExperience with UVC and UAC protocols is a plusExtensive experience with software engineering processes and toolsExperience and comfort with lab tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers and oscilloscopesStrong written and verbal communication and project management skillsThinks outside the box when developing solutionA passion for creating and building thingsPay Transparency Notice :
Depending upon experience and location, the target annual base salary for this position can range from $100,000.00 to $200,000.00In addition, you may be eligible for a 10%-15%discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-endCompensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experienceremain competitive, GN offers a competitive benefits package, including annual bonuses, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid vacation and holidays
