As a Senior Embedded Firmware Design Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative video collaboration products. You must be responsible, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test.The Senior Embedded Firmware Design Engineer is the lead engineer on a project execution team. You will be responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of the embedded software for camera products.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead engineer on a project execution team.Responsible for the architecture, design, development and implementation of the camera software.Responsible for bring-up, testing, production releases, BIST implementations and support for mass production.Develop tools/applications running on Windows, Mac, and Linux for development and debugging, applications for field upgrades as well as tools for manufacturing and production.Support diagnostics and device operations.Interface with various hardware and software vendors on complex system integration tasks to achieve efficient, cost-effective and delightful product solutions.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:A Master's degree with 4-8 years of career experience in computer science or computer engineering.Experience with Embedded Linux/Android and RTOS on ARM processors.Experience with USB (hotplug drivers).Experience with video devices, image sensors and image processors.Experience with U-Boot, CFE, RAMFS.Experience with I2C, SPI, I2S, UART, Flash RAMs, LCD, SD cards.Experience with both C and C++ programming in 8, 16, and 32-bit embedded environments and knowledge of assembly.Experience with audio and video codecs is a plus.Experience with UVC and UAC protocols is a plus.Extensive experience with software engineering processes and tools.Experience and comfort with lab tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.Strong written and verbal communication and project management skills.Ability to think outside the box when developing solutions.A passion for creating and building things.Pay Transparency Notice:Depending upon experience and location, the target annual base salary for this position can range from $100,000.00 to $200,000.00. In addition, you may be eligible for a 10%-15% discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
