We are seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join our team. This role involves organizing morale and networking events, customer and community engagement activities, and handling operational logistics. The position offers a mix of in-office and remote work, providing a balance between collaboration and independent work.
Responsibilities
Manage and organize upcoming events, including vendor interactions and logistics
Coordinate philanthropic activities and support sales teams with customer-facing events
Handle administrative tasks such as emails, scheduling, and other clerical duties
Research venues, manage budgets, and prepare proposals
Conduct twice-weekly sync meetings to discuss progress and provide assistance
Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work
Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents
File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports
Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails
Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries
Essential Skills
Minimum 8-10 years of experience with event planning, specifically for large corporation internal employee events
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Previous experience with computer applications such as Excel and PowerPoint
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Experience in relevant industries like financial services or technology
Corporate event planning experience
Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently
Work Environment
This part-time position requires working 50% on-site in Charlotte, with a flexible schedule based on the ability to self-manage. Candidates will be expected to work approximately 25 hours a week.
