Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Quality Manager 1 to join our Mission Assurance team in Palmdale, CA.The Quality Manager 1 will be responsible for project performance planning, risk management, technical quality, cost, schedule and factory accountability, which will include the following responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is aligned with requirements.Act with agility to business needs and interact in collaborative way to empower diverse, cross functional teams, including both internal and external members to achieve positive business results, including operating decisions, scheduling requirements and contractual clarification.May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's + 5 years of experience or Master's + 3 years of experience, experience is qualified as professional/military experience in Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries in a Quality EnvironmentMust have 2-3 years of previous management/leadership experience.Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required) and PAR (Special Programs Access)Must have the ability to work all schedules including weekends

Finally, we pioneer: setting a vision that shapes the future and inspires others.Salary Range:$104,600 - $156,800The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
