POSITION SUMMARYThe Production Lead will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of production employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality. This role will require a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to drive team success.CORE FUNCTIONSPartner with the Leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughputCollaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill setsImplement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to dateCollaborate with purchasing, production scheduler, and shipping to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all partsEffectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as neededServe as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill setsServe as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounterPerform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education requiredMinimum of 2 years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required3-5 years in years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIESLead: working team member who coordinates, supports, trains, and is a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 100 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual AcuityThe worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working ConditionsThe worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
