Dawn's Market Sales Representative II (MSR II) position is responsible for developing customer relationships and delivering mutually profitable sales activity within the defined territory. This is an exciting customer-facing role that is expected to provide exceptional service, product knowledge, and customer satisfaction. Successful MSRs achieve results through developing and maintaining consultative partnerships and effectively addressing bakery customer needs by identifying profitable opportunities with existing customers and successfully prospecting new accounts.
Dawn's MSRs are outside sales representatives responsible for managing a territory that is directly associated with a distribution center and greater commercial region. Within their territory, they are focused on promoting Dawn's products, services, online ordering capabilities, and expanded portfolio of bakery solutions. Market Sales Representative II's are typically responsible for planning and implementing sales and service for customers typically representing $1M - $6M overall sales across accounts. They report directly to a Market Sales Manager (MSM) and are compensated within the parameters of a competitive salary-plus-commission plan.
Work Environment & Travel Requirements:
This position is remote with consistent field-travel covering the Southern Colorado to Albuquerque, New Mexico market. Candidates must be located in this territory to be considered for this role and must attend quarterly sales meetings at the Denver, CO Distribution Center.
What will you do as a Market Sales Representative II (MSR II) at Dawn Foods?
Continue to build a portfolio of customers to exceed sales and margin targets.Develop and maintain excellent relationships with baking industry customers across assigned territory Provide on-site consultation and sales expertise.Achieve profitable sales growth within the assigned territory.Develop and maintain profitable sales through prospecting new customers, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business.Calculate margins, negotiate terms, and prepare estimates and bids using Dawn's pricing models to meet specific customer needs.Represent, explain, and promote the entire Dawn value proposition.Use Technology to drive Dawn's business, including the following:
Promote and demonstrate Dawn's online ordering platform and capabilities to drive growth and expand customer base.Document sales funnel activities and utilize enterprise CRM (Salesforce)Educate customers on the usage of our payment portal.
Demonstrates and develops end-user understanding of customer-facing technology and applications.Understand, explain, and implement Dawn's credit policies and terms with customers.Remain aware of and navigate relevant regional market conditions, product trends, innovation, and competitors' products and activity.Develop and maintain a collaborative approach across teams and functions to build sales for the region, remain on budget, and maintain efficient costs.Perform associated administrative duties, such as maintaining accurate sales records, preparing reports, and filing expense reports.Participate within experiential learning opportunities to expand sales capabilities and product knowledge and applies that product knowledge in customer interactions to drive sales.Demonstrate Dawn's Values and support the Dawn Circle of ExcellenceWhat Does It Take to be a Market Sales Representative II (MSR II) at Dawn Foods?

High School Diploma or General Education Degre (GED)At least 5 years of previous experience with building a portfolio of customers (customer-facing & outside sales experiences)Successful consultative sales experiences within B2B foodservice or similar distribution modelsWorking knowledge of bakery products, ingredients, raw materials, and baking suppliesWorking knowledge of bakery operationsDemonstrative ability to navigate multiple software applications, user interfaces, and digital technologies.Working knowledge of digital CRM solutions (i.e., Salesforce)Motivated self-starter able to work autonomously with limited supervision.Prior experiences performing within a commissioned and/or performance-driven pay structure.Able to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and customers.Able to engage others while maintaining a personable, consultative approach for superior customer service.Able to read, write, verbally communicate, and comprehend the English language.Able to effectively manage time within a schedule of competing priorities and tasks.Able to understand and calculate sales and margins.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPointIntermediate Bilingual (i.e. Spanish) capabilities are strongly preferred for representing an expanded customer base.Physical Demands & Work Environment
