Astronics Subsidiary Astronics AES Location Kirkland, WA Description Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Quality Inspector that will focus on the paperwork associated with inspection activities. This is an on-site position in Kirkland, WA. Hours are on 1st Shift, Monday ~ Friday, eight hours per day with a 30-minute meal break.JOB SUMMARYThe Quality Inspector working in the paperwork cell will review a variety of inspection related documents and rectify any discrepancies by working with the Quality Engineers and Supply Chain Team. This role requires attention to detail and responsibility for providing Quality Inspectors with the necessary inspection documents.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Review Purchase Orders, Certificates of Compliance, Drawings, Test Data, and Inspection Alerts. Rectify any discrepancies. Prepare the paperwork for the Quality Inspector. Organize the Receiving Inspection markets for the commodities. Review and validate First Article Inspection (FAI) paperwork from suppliers. Work with Quality Engineer and Supply Chain to resolve any discrepancies. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to improve the receiving inspection group. Learn Astronics AES FAI requirements to be able to review supplier FAI reports. May learn and perform other quality inspection duties.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Demonstrates familiarity (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position)Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Office products to include the ability to use MS Excel Ability to learn a variety of business systems Strong attention to detail Must demonstrate strong time management skills Ability to set objectives and prioritize Demonstrates pride and ability to provide proper customer service despite any challengesEMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible. An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.Base salary is $20.12 - $27.22 per hour.
