The Job
The Information System Analyst (ISA) II will support CONFIRE MIS in various capacities, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. This role requires solid experience in Systems Management, Database Administration, and IT Support, providing technical support to end-users and contributing to IT projects specific to CONFIRE's operational needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support:•Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues.•Respond to and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner.•Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.System Maintenance:•Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.•Perform regular system backups, updates, and security patches to ensure data integrity and security.•Monitor system performance and ensure systems are running efficiently.•Implement and enforce system policies and procedures.•Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly.Database Administration:•Manage and maintain CONFIRE's databases to ensure data integrity and availability.•Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and performance tuning.•Develop and optimize SQL queries to support business operations and reporting needs.Documentation and Reporting:•Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems and processes.•Generate reports on system performance and support activities.•Develop and update user guides and training materialsProject Participation:•Assist in planning and implementing IT projects.•Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet project objectives.•Manage timelines and deliverables for assigned tasks within projects.
Compliance and Security:•Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.•Assist in the implementation of IT security measures.•Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning.
Minimum Requirements•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.•At least 3 years of experience in Database Administration with proficiency in SQL.•Minimum of 2 years providing first-line technical support for hardware, and software issues, with proven ability to respond to help desk tickets promptly and efficiently handle setup and configuration of new hardware and software.•At least 3 years of experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems and software applications, including conducting regular backups, updates, and security patches to ensure data integrity and system security.•Minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining accurate IT system documentation, generating performance and support activity reports, and developing user guides and training materials.
Desired Qualifications•Proficiency with Windows operating systems and common software applications.•Excellent problem-solving and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.•Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified IT Professional, SQL Server Certification) preferred.•Experience with network administration is a plus.Selection Process
