Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist is responsible for performing blood draws and specimen preparation with skill and care.
This role plays a key part in ensuring patient comfort, obtaining accurate samples, and upholding our commitment to quality care across a diverse patient demographic.
Key Responsibilities:Perform blood draws and prepare specimens for analysis with attention to patient comfort.Collect and label specimens according to standard procedures and maintain accurate records.Explain blood draw processes to patients clearly and courteously, using appropriate techniques.Adhere to safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, and maintain all required PPE.Prepare specimens for transport, ensuring correct labeling and storage conditions.Maintain specimen integrity by following procedural guidelines and using proper collection techniques.Keep track of supplies, maintain cleanliness in the phlebotomy area, and ensure equipment is functioning correctly.Handle inquiries professionally and update patient records as needed.Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.Preferred Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.Experience with electronic health record systems and data entry.
