Responsibilities

We provide our client and customers the tools needed to deliver solutions and achieve their goals with merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelf-positioning. These initiatives result in maximizing market share.

We are seeking self-motivated professionals who create these solutions and have the ability to:

•Act as collaborative partner between vendor and retailer with a focus on increasing sales. Manage all aspects of a vendor's relationship with the retailer.

•Represent the client in all meetings with the Retailer, summarize action points and complete deliverables.

•Provide feedback on the effectiveness of our clients' strategies, selling programs, and initiatives.

•Execute against mutual business goals by identifying opportunities, mapping effective strategies, and implementing joint business tactics utilizing selling techniques, marketing research, and new business development.

•Grow expertise through constant study of product, vendor, category, and market. Maximize vendor's potential through using up-to-date market trends, industry information, and retailers' goals.

•Support client through contract, pricing, and compliance process negotiation

•Communicate clients' priorities to Retail Sales Organization to deliver in-store presence and business objectives.

•Coordinate clients' market visits and key account calls.

•Maintain current account distribution information.

•Provide feedback on how to build organizational capacity and improve our business.

•Manage and participate in the development, design and presentation of Acosta introduction to new clients.

Qualifications

•Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

•Preferred recent experience with PetSmart Corporate either as an Associate or a Supplier.

•A proven track-record in driving sales; preferably with a major, national company.

•Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.

•Evident self-starter with ability to strive in an autonomous role while also supporting a healthy team environment.

•Must have the ability to analyze sales and marketing information needed to make effective sales presentations. Merchant/Marketing experience a plus.

•Preferred proficiency in Nielsen syndicated data.

•Must be willing to travel; typically, 2-4 trips annually.

•This position requires that you drive on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing, and as such, any DUI/DWI conviction in the past 36 months will be an immediate disqualifier for this position.

**Note** This is a hybrid position. Requires Tues, Wed, &Thurs in Phoenix office.
