Garver seeks a
Project Engineer – Hydrology and Hydraulics
to join our growing Transportation Team in Tulsa, with the ability to collaborate with municipal, highway and other clients to prepare hydrologic and hydraulic reports, studies, and designs.
This Project Engineer will be responsible for:Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling of streams, rivers, drainage systems, and other storm water conveyance featuresPreparing reports, studies, and designs related to hydrologic and hydraulic analysisWorking with senior H&H managers to learn and enhance modeling skillsWorking with a multi-disciplined team to execute project deliverables for clientsThe successful candidate will also have the ability to collaborate and be mentored by our experienced H&H professionals as well as interact with Garver staff from across the company.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited programCourse work emphasis in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources engineeringStrong communication and writing skillsStrong working knowledge of MS Office softwarePreferred Skills
2+ years of relevant experienceLicensed as an Engineer in Training (EI), or will have the ability to obtain within six months of hireExperience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis software, especially HEC-HMS and HEC-RASPrevious experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on hydrology and hydraulics projectsExperience with CAD design software such as MicroStationExperience with ESRI Geographic Information Systems (GIS) softwareMaster’s degree in engineering with emphasis in water resources engineeringExperience with two-dimensional hydraulic modeling softwareGarver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
