Join the Smart Home team to create smarter, safer and more sustainable homes.Primary Responsibilities:Providing fully automated testing and quality assessment for our thermostat and energy productsImplementing automated tests with an emphasis on reliability, repeatability, and metrics measurements.Integrating test solutions into CI/CD pipelinesRoot-causing test failures and indicator changes and driving quick resolution of product, infrastructure, and environmental issuesMaintaining a database of automated test cases with thoroughness and consistencyDebugging and diagnosing embedded systems, video streams, and networksFrequently collaborating with teams to work towards long-term automated product quality goalsRequired Education/Experience:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience4+ years of experience with software test automation4+ years of experience with Linux2+ years experience with PythonRequired Skills:Experience working with and testing back-end softwareExperience with unit testing frameworksExperience with metrics gathering and reportingExcellent test plan and test case writing skillsAbility to demonstrate solid software development practicesAbility to take ownership of test automation for specific components and featuresAbility to promote best practices for test automation across the entire development organizationResearch, evaluate, and propose technologies and tools to use for test automation purposesBonus Qualifications:Experience working with Mesos, Akka, and KafkaExperience working and debugging with Scala, Java, and the JVMExperience working with cloud platforms and applicationsExperience working with microservicesHere are some highlighted perks you should ask us about:Free daily lunch and drinks on sitePaid holidays and flexible paid time awayEmployee/Friends/Family DiscountsOnsite health clinic, gym, gaming tablesMedical/dental/vision/life coverage & 24/7 Medical Hotline401(k) + Employer MatchEmployee Resource GroupsWORKING CONDITIONS:This job operates in a professional office environment.
