Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Network Administrative Associate. This position serves in the Technology Services division of Estrella Mountain Community College and works in Network Services. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and skills related to the planning, implementation, management, and maintenance of the systems overseen. This position requires project management skills, vital customer service, a collaborative work style, and a desire to continue learning new technologies and skills.

Essential Functions

45% - Manages and administers Enterprise software running in both college data centers and on cloud-based platforms, including but not limited to Vmware Vcenter, Active Directory, Group Policy Manager, DHCP, DNS, management of server operating systems, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity other applications that run both on and off-site.30%-Supports the campus network infrastructure, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and replacement of switches, access points, and/or structured cabling. Provides backup support for Cisco Unified Communication. Provides coverage when key Network Services staff are out of the office or unavailable.15%-Works with End User support and other IT staff to provide advanced technical support for more difficult problems and provides cross-training for other IT staff.

10%-Participates in future planning for the IT infrastructure leadership. Works with vendors and MCCCD colleagues on various projects; other duties as assigned are commensurate with the grade level of position.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or related field.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

1. One (1) year of experience administering servers and storage in an enterprise server environment using Vmware

2. One (1) year of experience administering systems in an enterprise server environment, including configuration, administration, and maintenance.

3. One (1) year of experience in administering an enterprise network, including installation, configuration and administration of Cisco switches and appliances.

4. One (1) year of experience in troubleshooting and identifying solutions to network and system issues.

Special Working Conditions

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving:http://www.maricopa.edu/legal/rmi/vehicle.htm#requirements

Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations

May require working numerous evenings or weekends

Work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions
