Job Description
The
Associate Director of Instructional Innovation
will support and help to implement strategic initiatives concerning academic programs and courses offered by The College. The candidate will work collaboratively with the faculty, staff, and academic professionals within The College and academic units in designing and revising curriculum and pedagogy to ensure proper alignment and quality at the course and programmatic levels. The ideal candidate should have prior teaching experience and be able to demonstrate the best practices in utilizing technology in various forms of learning content. This position will report to The College administrative leadership.
This is an in-person position located on ASU's Tempe Campus that may provide limited opportunities for remote work of up to 2 days a week. Dean or vice president-level approval is required.
Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouseRequired to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform workFrequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 poundsRegular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.Background Check Statement

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND seven (7) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Eleven (11) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Essential Duties
Support The College leadership with the restructuring and development of curriculum and pedagogy that will support the improvement and consistency of student learning and retention outcomes for the courses offered by The College.Develop and implement scalable educational initiatives related to curriculum and pedagogy that address the challenges of retention and attrition.Support faculty instructional teams within various units within The College with advancing and aligning student learning outcomes and build necessary instructional, assessment, and faculty support mechanisms to achieve these goals.Work to implement technology to enhance instruction.Serve as a liaison with other ASU partners (primarily ASU Online-EdPlus) on projects associated with the academic mission of the department and the growth and success of its students.
