Classification Title:OPS Data and Technology Specialist
Job Description:The Health Disparities Department is seeking a dedicated Data and Technology Specialist in a full-time OPS role. This position provides essential support for data management, project coordination, and technical operations in research initiatives aimed at advancing health equity. The successful candidate will have strong technical and organizational skills, experience in managing project milestones, and the ability to provide training and support to team members. The primary duties for this position include but are not limited to:
Project Coordination and Oversight
Attend and chair weekly project planning meetings.Oversee and manage project components, track milestones, and support day-to-day project activities.Team and Community Training
Train community scientists, technology specialists, interns, and team members on tools and protocols (e.g., REDCap, iPads, enrollment procedures).Respond to inquiries from community members and other members of our community-engaged research team.Lead sessions to educate student researchers about in-progress and planned research studies and related proceduresManage research participant payments (RPP).Data Management and Analysis
Oversee data management on REDCap, which includes ensuring data integrity and conducting basic data analyses for reports.Enter monthly project data into online portal and generate tables and graphs for presentations.Documentation and Asset Tracking
Edit and maintain project documentsTrack department assets through myAssets and maintain other essential documentation.
Expected Salary:$17.00 per hour
Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Project Coordination and OversightLead weekly project meetings to support planning, coordinate milestones, and facilitate day-to-day project activities.Team and Community TrainingTrain team members, interns, and other project participants on technical tools and procedures, including data platforms and enrollment processes.Serve as a resource for project inquiries and lead educational sessions for research staff.Data Management and AnalysisOversee data integrity on platforms such as REDCap, perform data entry and analyses, and generate reports for presentations.Documentation and Asset TrackingMaintain and update essential project documentation and track departmental assets.
