We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team.We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and the ability to develop and implement effective financial strategies. This role is crucial in providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and drive the company's growth.The Financial Controller reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for overseeing the finance and treasury department in all accounting functions including cash flow, budgets, audits, tax filings, P&L, strategic planning and special projects.Responsibilities•Analyze and complete financial statements for ownership/ senior leadership / bank•Assist in solving problems with accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll•Interact with loan officer on frequent basis and support all covenants•Lead internal budgeting and cash flow planning•Work on audit and tax issues•Responsible for workers compensation, medical, property and casualty risk management•Balance general and payroll accounts•General ledger setup of new accounts•Assist in budget and business plan preparations•Familiarity with cross-border financial transactions•Control petty cash•Develop executive summaries & dashboards for concise communication•Assist in creation of company policies and procedures as they relate to the finance department•Develop and manage the financial services team to effectively support multi-facility accounting, financial and reporting activities•Work cross functionally with other departments with respect to the overall financial management of the company•Perform other duties and assignments as requested by managementQualifications•Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field•Excellent written communication skills for effective financial report writing•In-depth knowledge of financial concepts, forecasting techniques, and best practices in accounting•Detail oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently•Effective communicator with a positive attitude•Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivatedComputer Proficiencies:•Microsoft Office Suite•Accounting software (Sage ERP or similar)
