Responsibilities: • Safely operate the vehicle following EcoSouth Company Safety Policy, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws at local, municipal, state, and federal levels. • Conduct thorough pre-and post-trip inspections on assigned equipment. • Promptly report any unsafe conditions or service-related matters to dispatch. • Notify dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. • Inform dispatch of service issues like blocked containers and potential safety hazards. • Report all damaged containers requiring repair. • Attend and actively participate in all training and safety programs. • Collaborate with dispatch and supervisor to optimize route efficiency and determine the best approach to fulfill duties. • Relay any customer requests to dispatch for appropriate action. • Complete and submit necessary work orders and driver logs. • Ensure safe delivery and return of containers to customer properties, keeping driveways and traffic areas unobstructed. • Adhere to assigned routes by dispatch and understand customer requirements. • Employ effective time management to carry out responsibilities efficiently and safely. Qualifications:
Qualifications and Job Requirements
: • Experience: 2 years (s) of previous experience operating a CDL vehicle. • Must have Roll-Off Experience. • Hold a current Class A or B Commercial 'Driver’s License with an air brake endorsement. • Successfully complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include a previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review. Compensation: $21 - $23 hourly
