In this role, you will develop the technical capabilities of our Global Strategic Partners (GSPs) so they can be successful in the cloud. Working with these large partners is a team effort that will require influence and coordination with many stakeholders. You should possess both a technical background that enables you to engage at the VP/CXO level, as well as a sales background that enables you to easily interact with customers and account management/field reps/pre-sales architects. You should be just as comfortable talking modernization, Data & Generative AI, and migrations with partner executives, continuous deployment with the DevOps team, TCO with the CFO, and cloud strategy with the CIO. If you are a problem solver with broad technical skills, and have the ability to drive technical initiatives and cloud migration & modernization projects with the GSPs, you will enjoy this role.In this technical role, you will own the technical relationship and deliverables for a GSP, architect enterprise-grade AWS solutions, act as a trusted customer advisor to partner executives, lead white boarding sessions, author white papers and blog posts, develop and execute multi-day workshops, and respond to complex technical inquiries. Technical leader and trusted adviser in the area of cloud computing for our partnersOwn the technical relationship and deliverables for one or more Global Strategic Partners (GSPs)Drive development of repeatable assets, solutions, products, and acceleratorsAssist the Global Strategic Partners (GSPs) to build AWS focused practices and centers of excellence within their organization enabling them to offer and deliver AWS based solutions to our joint customersAssist Global Strategic Partners (GSPs) to earn the trust of and deliver successful outcomes in the long term for their customers by delivering multi-day technical workshops, leading white boarding sessions, executing on Proof of Concepts, and contributing to the construction of performant, scalable, secure, and highly available AWS solutionsThought Leadership – author and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers and reference architectures, and events such as AWS Summits, AWS re:Invent. Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the worldwide AWS solution architect community.Act as a technical liaison between partner and the services engineering teams to provide end customer/partner driven product improvement feedback.Help manage and drive joint Strategic Deals between the partner and AWSBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 12 or more years of related experience- Technology Breadth: Experience with the AWS cloud, demonstrate architectural best practices applied across a breadth of technologies to solve organizational problems, articulate views/roadmaps for future development, and understand the interaction between infrastructure, operations, and development- Technology Depth: Demonstrate detailed knowledge of concepts, implementation, patterns, and issues of at least four technology areas like Application migrations, Modernization, DevOps, containers / serverless / cloud-native development and design, IoT, Data Analytics, ML and Generative AI, Databases, Networking, Security- Experience in writing technical content and strong communication skills, along with experience in a technical role within a sales organizationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor level degree - computer science or IT background preferred- Demonstrated strategic and tactical thinking in business, product, and technical challenges, with experience in large-scale data center transformations and application migrations.- Cloud/AWS experience with certifications and recognized IT industry thought leadership in executive-level presentations.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
