HGA's Allied Disciplines group is seeking a talented Construction Administration Manager to join our construction administration, specifications, cost estimating, and records management team! HGA offers challenge, recognition, and personal visibility with an opportunity to be part of great projects across the country.The Construction Administration Manager will manage a distributed team of Construction Administration Staff across various HGA offices, support and advance HGA's CA processes, guide project teams during CA, and perform CA activities for select projects. Our commitment to sustainability is especially important during construction administration and understanding the documentation necessary to achieve those aims is an important part of the CA Manager's role.In this role you will:
1. Work to further implement consistent construction administration practices across HGA offices firmwide.2. Advise and assist project teams in administering the requirements of the contract documents during construction phase activities.3. Manage and coordinate the work of Construction Administration staff responsible for CA process tasks including recording submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and other documentation related to the work of the design team during the construction phase.4. When necessary, act as a liaison between our design professionals, contractors, and client representatives during the construction phase.5. Work with project teams and technical leaders from across the firm, support the use and evolving integration of web-based project management software from project initiation through project record documentation.6. Perform construction administration for select projects.7. Process CA tasks using Newforma web-based project management software.
8. Mentor/coach CA team and foster a collaborative team environment.You will need to have:
* Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
* 8+ years of experience in construction administration project management* Ability and experience managing the work of others* Attention to detail, organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and problem solving skills* Ability to read, understand, and work with construction contract documents, specifications, contractor submittals, schedules, and related documentation* Familiarity with standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract, Division 00, Contracting Requirements, Division 01, General Requirements, and technical specifications* Experience with Newforma or other web-based construction project management software* Experience and understanding of sustainability-related objectives including review and documentation of sustainability requirements during both the design and construction administration phaseSalary Information:
The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $91,700 - $145,000Additional Information:
