This role will also support and drive cross-functional business team alignment to ensure success of the skin prep portfolio in the US.

with us.Job DescriptionBD Interventional’s Surgery worldwide business unit, located in Rhode Island, is a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of innovative, life-enhancing medical technologies. Our Surgical Solutions Platform delivers a growing line of infection prevention, wound irrigation, and enhanced sealants and hemostats, to complement surgical techniques across specialties and to advance surgical outcomes for the customers and patients we serve.The Associate Director reports to the Director of Marketing, US region, for the Surgical Solutions platform. This position is responsible for executing the Skin Prep protect and grow strategy with a focus on competitive offense strategies and commercial and partnership programs including distribution programs, digital marketing, tradeshows and targeted segmentation and messaging.

The Associate Director will also drive and influence cross-functional teams to develop and implement infection prevention enterprise messaging and evidence generation.

This position is also responsible for short- and long-term forecasting, as well as implementing strategies to further grow a mature business by understanding customer needs, analyzing the competition and developing differentiated positioning and will execute multi-year business plans to produce maximum sales, growth and profitability, both individually and through the leadership of the team.

In addition, this role will be responsible for launching new technologies to sustainably differentiate our portfolio in the US.Primary Responsibilities:Develop positioning and executional strategies that will drive competitive and market conversion to BD’s skin prep solutions.

This includes defining customer segmentation, value offer, pricing strategy, competitive positioning, promotional and communication programs, and the development and execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans.

Oversee all product management duties for the skin prep portfolio, including forecasting, financial planning, pricing, product lifecycle management, channel management and promotional activities.

Manage, coach and develop team members.

Manage new product launches through standardized processes for communication, commercialization strategies and tracking metrics.

Ensure effective planning and training to support the launch

Anticipate and identify evolving market conditions and needs, develop, and implement plans which direct short- and long-range goals and product requirements.

Define and lead development of the value story including marketing claims, and clinical and economic evidence.

Serves as a product and procedure expert to provide technical support to sales force, and assist in training, meetings, and conventions.

Demonstrates strong business and marketing acumen to conduct market assessments and provide strategic recommendation.

Conducts market research to advise assessment of market opportunities and test value propositions from both the clinical and economic perspectives.

Collaborates with innovation team on new market and product opportunities.

Acts as the liaison between Marketing, Medical Affairs, US Support / International Sales, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.

Actively encourage and support a positive culture within the Surgical Solutions Platform.

​About You:Minimum bachelor’s degree required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 9 years of experience in medical device marketing, sales, medical education, or engineering required with proven marketing capability including, but not limited to, upstream, downstream, market development, marketing communications and branding.

Previous leadership/supervisory experience required.

Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.

Strong coaching skills with a growth mindset to achieve organization success, and influence without authority skills.

Demonstrated track record of driving for results, a strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving goals.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
